Thanks to the increased focus on better amenities, great design, and services that save time and money, travelers are looking at airport hotels in a new light, according to guest reviews from Hotels.com. “Travelers today are highly influenced by the opinions of others,” says Taylor L. Cole, the company’s director of public relations. “Many of our 1 million guest reviews are showing an increase in the approval rating for airport hotels.”
Business travelers in particular are favoring airport hotels over their more expensive downtown counterparts, reporting positive experiences with things such as free wi-fi, complimentary breakfasts, and easy access to the airport via subways, buses, shuttles, and skyways.
