Dolce Hotels and Resorts has unveiled its newest hotel, the Alexander in downtown Indianapolis. Designed by Gensler, the property features 209 guestrooms designed with work and relaxation in mind. Accommodations include 146 traditional double-queen and California king guest rooms, 10 junior/extended suites, 36 one-bedroom residential studios, 16 two-bedroom residential suites, and a presidential suite.
More than 40 artworks will be on view, selected by Dr. Lisa Freiman, head of the Indianapolis Museum of Art’s (IMA) Contemporary Art Department, and Veronica Roberts, adjunct associate curator of contemporary art for the IMA. Twelve unprecedented works are site-specific commissions for the Alexander.
On the F&B front, artist Jorge Pardo designed Plat 99mixology bar, which features an expansive outdoor terrace with contemporary furniture and built-in firepits. Market Table and Nourishment Hubs showcase open kitchens, while Cerulean restaurant opens its second outpost in Indiana.
Additional amenities include 16,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event function space, fitness facilities, and two massage rooms. The hotel will pursue LEED certification through sustainable efforts ranging from employing a storm water collection for irrigation purposes to offering free charging stations for electric vehicles.
