The Colonial Inn of Ogunquit, Maine, has completed a $4 million historical renovation. Now under new ownership and management, the 125-year-old property reopens with completely upgraded facilities and a contemporary guest experience.
The Colonial Inn comprises of 62 rooms spread throughout four different buildings. Designed by Portland-based David Lloyd of Archetype Architects, most rooms in the hotel and every room in the Main Inn now boast new furnishings. A heated outdoor pool with a patio and hot tub, a large lobby, living room, and a wraparound porch complete the amenities.
“It’s a privilege for me to have the opportunity to restore this hotel to its original glory,” says owner Joe Delois. “We’ve worked closely with the National Park Service to ensure that the new interior and exterior fixtures and finishes are true to the style of the original building.”
Located in the center of Ogunquit Village, the Colonial Inn is a short walk from Marginal Way, the beaches, and a trolley stop.
