The Geejam Collection has debuted the Geejam Villa Collection and will reopen the iconic Blue Lagoon Restaurant in Port Antonio, Jamaica.
The group is restoring the period villas in the historic San San Estate, originally built in the late 1950s. The mission is to bring the nearby town of San San back to its former glory and to encourage travel and investment to the region by further expanding the collection’s existing portfolio of celebrated properties, including Geejam Hotel & Recording Studio, the Trident Hotel, and the Trident Castle.
Cocosan, a six-bedroom villa, overlooks the coastline with a teak deck, lap pool, heated plunge pool, Jatoba wood flooring throughout, and en-suite bathrooms, as well as a private gym and steam room. The tropical contemporary design highlights the villa’s indoor-outdoor connectivity and natural cross ventilation.
Set on the grounds of Geejam Hotel, the three-bedroom Sanwood features its own private pool and indoor-outdoor living areas. The property also houses unique artwork, with some pieces painted directly onto the walls.
Currently under development, the five-bedroom Blue Marlin will be set on the largest plot of land along the Blue Lagoon strip. The open concept living areas on the ground floor are designed to highlight the volume of space, while the upper floor’s bedrooms are focused on maintaining privacy, security, and showcasing its luxurious amenities. The four-bedroom Panorama villa is also being developed.
The 140-seat Blue Lagoon Restaurant will soon offer unique views and access to the largest and deepest spring-fed lagoon in Jamaica. Renovation plans are currently under way for the restaurant to reopen in July 2015.
