Plans have been approved for the Hotel at the University of Maryland, which breaks ground next spring on the east side of campus. “The university has long needed a 4-Star hotel for the tens of thousands of visitors to campus every year,” says president Wallace D. Loh. “It will catalyze the revitalization of College Park as a top university town with a top research university.”

The $115 million project calls for 295 guestrooms with executive-level and premium suites; six F&B options, including two full-service restaurants and a lobby bar; an indoor/outdoor pool; and a fitness center. Conference facilities include 43,000 square feet of meeting space, as well as a rooftop banquet venue and veranda overlooking the UMD campus.
Completion is expected by fall 2016.
