The Maxwell Hotel is on track to debut in March at the base of Queen Anne hill in Seattle. The property—named after the son of Michelle Foreman Barnet, president and COO of Columbia West Properties, the hotel’s owner—will feature the work of architect Robert Jacques, former design principal at Jensen Fey (and owner of his new firm, Jacques Architecture) and Karen Earl Interior Design. The hotel will feature 140 guestrooms, indoor pool, exercise facility, espresso bar, and meeting and retail space. Distinct design details range from a pineapple mosaic to swimming pool tiles painted by local children.
