Sbe Hotels is partnering with founder and chairman of Levy Restaurants, Larry Levy, and real estate developer Bob Heyat to launch the Redbury Hotel South Beach. Formerly the Fairfax Hotel, re-development on the Miami hotel will be completed by early fall.

The 69-room hotel’s Hollywood-inspired design will capture South Beach’s iconic Art Deco aesthetic. There will also be a 12,000-square-foot rooftop pool and event space.

Lorenzo restaurant⎯⎯helmed by James Beard Award-winning chef Tony Mantuano⎯⎯will also serve Italian cuisine in a casual but elegant setting. In addition to Lorenzo, Redbury guests will have access to the Bazaar by José Andrés, Katsuya by Starck, and Hyde Beach at sbe’s newly opened SLS Hotel South Beach, and Restaurant Michael Schwartz at the Raleigh (which sbe recently acquired). The launch of the Redbury South Beach underscores sbe’s recent growth in the Miami area over the past 18 months.
“sbe is deeply committed to Miami and to the historic Art Deco architecture of South Beach,” says Arash Azarbarzin, president of sbe Hotel Group. “We’re applying the same thoughtful and collaborative approach to adaptive reuse we employed at SLS South Beach to Redbury and are creating a property the entire community can be proud of and make their own. Ultimately, the goal is to once again make the block between 17th and 18th South Beach’s center of energy, and with SLS and now Redbury, we’re doing just that.”
