The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. has announced Bali as the next location of a Ritz-Carlton Reserve property. The resort is set to open in Ubud in the summer of 2015, joining a collection that includes Phulay Bay, Thailand, and Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico.
Ubud is known as the spiritual and cultural heart of Bali, in a district famous for its arts and crafts as well as temples and monasteries. This property occupies a secluded position amongst the hills along the Ayung River, with views of Bali’s famous terraced rice paddy fields adjacent to the village temple.
“We are delighted to announce another exclusive Reserve project to our hand-selected portfolio. Bali is a well-established destination for luxury travelers and we are confident that our resort in Ubud will raise the bar for style, service, and quality in the area,” says Herve Humler, president and COO of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
“The Ritz-Carlton Reserve offers guests a contemporary interpretation of the local lifestyle and culture.”

Architectural design inspiration is taken from the environment of Ubud. The property will have 60 villas and suites showcasing native architectural features indigenous to Bali, along with elements of the local art scene.
