The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis has announced a $1 million lobby lounge and bar renovation. Designed by San Francisco-based BAMO, the redesign is expected to complete in April 2013.

With the theme “rhythm and martinis,” the renovations will blend the brand’s traditional appeal with a modern aesthetic. Think gold leaf embellishments to the wall and coved ceiling; titanium gold granite topping the mahogany bar, while its illuminated vellum front will don brass accents; and Art Deco-inspired glass screens between the columns within the bar.
Furnishings will include tufted, leather settees and barrel-back lounge chairs, as well as mahogany cocktail tables. A palette of russet red, deep blue, and taupe will color the space. And to complete the aesthetic, the Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis’ trademark will now include modern artwork.
The lobby lounge project is the first installation of a $3 million renovation that will also include the ballroom and restaurant.
