The Roosevelt Hotel, known as the “Grand Dame of Madison Avenue,” is embarking on a multimillion-upgrade and redesign project, led by Dyami Architecture PC of Chestnut Ridge, New York. The hotel’s 1,015 guestrooms and suites will be completely refurbished with new carpeting, furniture, fixtures, and décor. The redesign also will include new artwork capturing historic images of the property, as well as an accent wall that creates a comforting, home-like ambiance. Completion is targeted for February 2012.
The guestroom renovation follows numerous improvements over recent years, including Vander Bar and mad46 Rooftop Lounge. In addition, the enhancements are designed to complement the already meticulously restored interiors of the hotel, featuring signature architecture of the 1920s, particularly showcased in the grand lobby.
