The Scarlet Rabbit, a Texas-style bistro, will open this June in Round Rock, Texas.
Designed by locally based Sonja Snow, the restaurant will be helmed by executive chefs Rob Snow and Rich Taylor. Nestled in a 1940s bungalow, the restaurant will feature a playful Alice in Wonderland theme, recalling various passages from the 1865 novel and highlighted by delicate, yet bold accents, romantic lighting, and robust colors.
At the entrance, a mysterious hall of doors and a red cocktail bar greet guests. The bar is festooned with ornamental hares and backwards-running clocks that read, “Drink Me.” Inside, the restaurant will hold a variety of dining and gathering spaces, including an outdoor patio shaded by a 200-year-old live oak tree. The patio will accommodate up to 80 guests.

“I have always loved the mystery behind this story. I love the famous quotes from the books, the ballets, the movies and the classic rock song, ‘White Rabbit,'” says Sonja Snow. “When we saw this little house with the amazing trees, this is immediately what I thought of. It is a whimsical, imaginative place.”
