The St. Regis Mauritius Resort, which opened its doors earlier this year, has unveiled the 17,857-square-foot St. Regis Villa, the largest full-service private residence in Mauritius.
South African-based architecture firm Stauch Vorster and Trevor Julius of dsgn completed the design, which celebrates the area’s cultural heritage and recalls the destination’s colonial past.
Located at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Le Morne, the St. Regis Villa features its own private entrance and four bedrooms. Additionally, the villa offers four heated swimming pools, a dining area, a bar, two lounges, an office, a gym with steam room, and private direct access to a beach.
The resort also offers villa guests the Iridium Spa and La Palme D’Or, a private cinema for up to 32 people. Six fine-dining restaurants complete the offerings, including Simply India and Inspiration-the island’s smallest restaurant, which has no menu and accepts only one reservation per evening.
