The Vines Resort & Spa has opened in Mendoza, Argentina. Situated at the base of the Andes in Uco Valley, the resort boasts a prime location for wine and outdoor enthusiasts.
Designed by Argentine architects Bormida & Yanzon, the resort features 22 one and two-bedroom villas with three floor plans ranging from 1,000 to 2,700 square feet. These villas draw from the rustic Uco Valley and overlook the Andes and the Vines of Mendoza’s 1,500 acres of vineyards. Swathed in a palette of neutral gray, the design incorporates the locality with rock murals and thick fabrics.
The resort’s signature restaurant, Francis Mallmann’s Siete Fuegos (Seven Fires) showcases Argentinian beef in an open, modern setting. In mid-2014, the Vines will also unveil its 15,000-square-foot spa.
