Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has opened the Westin Zhujiajian Resort, Zhoushan, marking the Westin brand’s debut in the city of Zhoushan in China’s Zhejiang province.
“The entry of Westin in this market is timely, as Zhoushan continues to see a rise in corporate and leisure travel as a result of recent infrastructure development,” says Gordon Xiong, managing director of the Westin Zhujiajian Resort, Zhoushan and Sheraton Zhoushan Hotel. “Here, business and leisure travelers can enjoy the relaxing and rejuvenating services, products, and amenities that are synonymous with the Westin brand.”
The resort is set on Zhujiajian, the fifth largest among the 1,390 islands in Zhoushan. Inspired by regional influences, the vertical garden in the lobby evokes a calm, natural environment. Along with 263 guestrooms, including 12 villas, the property offers an all-day restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, and a vegetarian dining option. Resort facilities provide both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness center, spa, and 37,000 square feet of meeting space.
