The Associated Press polled three travel gurus for their 2010 predictions. Genevieve Shaw Brown of Travelocity.com believes that airfares will increase, but hotel rates will continue to go down. She also believes that resorts in places such as the Caribbean and Hawaii will offer good values, as will all-inclusive resorts. Clem Bason at Hotwire.com also says that hotel prices will continue to drop; those looking for a good deal should keep their eye on Las Vegas, Miami, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. In addition, he indicates that price differences between 4- and 5-Star hotels will shrink. Meanwhile, J. Walter Thompson sees airlines offering annual subscriptions for checked luggage and business travelers bundling shorter trips into one longer trip.
