The Trump Organization finalized its agreement with the U.S. General Services Administration to transform the Old Post Office Building in Washington, DC, into a $200 million luxury hotel. Trump says that it will preserve the historic structure’s architectural integrity while adding 270 guestrooms, penthouses, and suites; several restaurants; a bar and lounge; Mar-a-Lago Spa by Ivanka Trump; a library, museum, and gallery; and indoor and outdoor gardens.
The company says that it will reveal design details in the coming weeks. Construction is expected to start in spring 2014 with a targeted opening in late 2015.
