Trump International Hotel & Tower New York will begin renovating its 167 guestrooms and suites in January. The $30 million project will happen in two phases, with half the rooms undergoing updates January through April and the balance June through September. A rich, dramatic color palette of gray and aubergine with neutral accents of ivory and caramel will convey a sophisticated, urban feel. Seating in plush, high-contrast upholstered velvets and silky fabrics will be paired with rich rosewood, mahogany, maple, and walnut finishes. A handcrafted Schonbek crystal chandelier above the dining table will lend romantic allure. Other luxurious details and materials include shagreen fabric, burnished gold leaf, bronze, glass, purple velvet draperies, and silk accent walls.
Trump’s flagship hotel will remain open throughout the renovation.
