The 173-room TRYP New York City Times Square South has opened its doors as the first TRYP by Wyndham location in the United States. Glen Coben of Glen & Company masterminded the design, which reflects the property’s Times Square location while incorporating the brand’s Mediterranean roots through elements such as exposed brick walls, reclaimed wood and tile floors, colorful accents, and wrought iron screens.

The lobby, known as Plaza Central, features eclectic furniture, a quiet library, laptops, and the Gastro Bar. In addition to the standard offerings, guests can choose from three signature accommodations: Fitness rooms, which feature stationary bikes and complimentary fitness attire; Family rooms, outfitted with bunk beds, a large living room area with sleeper sofa, a wet bar, and two flatscreen TVs; and two high-tech multimedia Samsung Experience rooms equipped with 55-inch flatscreen TVs and 3D glasses, surround sound, a popcorn machine, Nintendo Wii gaming system, iPod docking station, Blu Ray player, and multimedia connectivity panel.
