Turner Duncan, principal of Dallas-based Duncan Miller Ullmann and an HD Platinum Circle member, passed away on September 22nd. 

Born in Maryland and educated on the East Coast at Haverford Prep and Mercersburg Academy in Pennsylvania, Turner attended Cornell University and obtained his degree from Auburn University. Duncan began his career in 1975 and is globally recognized for his ability to bring theater to restaurants, hotels, and resorts around the world from the Caribbean, to Asia, India, Saudi Arabia, and Europe.
In the span of his career, Duncan successfully founded an international firm⎯⎯Design DMU⎯⎯with offices in Dallas, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. He is well known among celebrity chefs and has been commissioned by innovative leaders such as Stephan Pyles, Victor Gielisse, Michel Richard, and the Culinary Institute of America. Duncan was most proud of hotel projects such as Abaco Ritz-Carlton, IBN Batutta Dubai, New Century Jinhua Resort China, Skirvin Hilton OKC, Warwick Hotel Dallas lobby bar, and the Taj Hotel Surat, India. Duncan was a recipient of the Platinum Circle Award and has a long standing reputation of instilling style and entertainment into his projects.
Donations in memory of Turner Duncan can be made to the A.S.P.C.A. (the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Turner is survived by his wife Kimberley; his children Halle, Tyler and wife Kelly, and K.C. and wife Ashley; his sister, Nancy Clark; and brother, Richard Duncan; as well as his grandchildren.
