The vacant midcentury-modern TWA terminal at JFK Airport may become a hotel, according to The Wall Street Journal. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking developers to build a high-end boutique hotel targeting business and short-stay travelers in the iconic terminal, designed by Eero Saarinen in 1962. With a hotel, the Port Authority hopes to recapture some of its $20 million investment to remove asbestos and restore interiors in the airport wing.
