Two suburban Chicago hotels are closing their doors due to the economy and increasing competition, according to a story in the Chicago Sun-Times. The 467-room Wyndham O’Hare is shutting down around January 1st, while Sheraton Chicago Northwest and its $25 million CoCo Key Water Resort said goodbye this week. "They’ve carried these properties as long as they can and they were staring at two pretty grim months [January and February]," industry consultant Ted Mandigo told the Sun-Times.
