The Rezidor Hotel Group is planning two Park Inn by Radisson hotels for Africa slated to open in 2013. The Park Inn Polokwane is the brand’s third in South Africa, located in the northern province of Limpopo. Located along a golf course and across from a new stadium, the hotel will offer 160 guestrooms, a signature RBG restaurant, meeting facilities, gym, and an outdoor swimming pool.
Representing the brand’s entry into Kenya is the 126-key Park Inn Nairobi Westlands, offering an RBG restaurant, bar and lobby lounge, meeting and board rooms, a business center, gym, and rooftop pool and terrace.
“Africa is one of our key markets for future business development,” says Kurt Ritter, president and CEO of Rezidor. “”his emerging continent offers huge natural resources, improved infrastructure and increasingly stable systems. At the same time Africa lacks internationally branded hotel rooms or shows a dated hotel inventory in many cities.”
