Two South Florida hotels have new owners and operators. Urgo Hotels has acquired the two-year-old Resort at Singer Island and immediately repositioned it as the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa. Amenities at the 239-suite hotel-condo include several restaurants; a spa with eight treatment suites and fitness center; and a lagoon-style infinity swimming pool, highlighted by a two-story waterfall and slide and surrounded by cabanas and a whirlpool.
Meanwhile, Benchmark Hospitality is the new operator of the newly renamed Marenas Resort (pictured) in Miami. The oceanside hotel, which originally opened as Le Meridien, comprises a stainless steel and glass tower that houses 190 guestrooms and suites, spa, health club, meeting and event space, and a signature restaurant.
