Viceroy Hotel Group will expand to Santiago Island in West Africa with the Viceroy Cape Verde.
Set to open in 2017, the 150-room hotel will feature three restaurants, a children’s club, and a water sports center. The hotel will be part of Sambala Village-a full-service island residence-which will mark the first development of its kind in Cape Verde when it is completed later this year. Situated over four square miles of land, the development will be located minutes from Santiago’s capital city, Praia.
“We are thrilled to expand our portfolio of international properties as well as lend our hospitality expertise to the development of the Sambala Community,,” says Bill Walshe, CEO of Viceroy Hotel Group. “Creating a holistic plan for the residences and resort will underscore the hallmarks of Viceroy.”
