Viceroy Hotel Group has opened the Hotel Zetta San Francisco. Located between SoMa, Mid-Market, and Union Square, the hotel marks the first significant new opening in the San Francisco hotel landscape since 2008.
Designed by Seattle-based firm Dawson Design Associates, the 116-room hotel will incorporate eclectic and sustainable architecture amid upscale furnishings. A water and energy savings plan has been enacted, as well as several recycling programs⎯⎯covering paper, glass, plastic, cardboard, fluorescent bulbs, and electronics. The property also uses biodegradable cleaning products, energy-efficient lighting, and occupancy sensors.

The 250-square-foot Superior guestrooms offer a large butcher-block desk, a hand-stitched, antique rug collage, and wood floors, while the Deluxe rooms boast 50 additional square feet of space. Larger accommodations include the 360-square-foot Premier studio and the 800-square-foot, one-bedroom Zetta suite⎯⎯complete with a dining table and a wet bar.

Acquired as the former Hotel Milano in early 2012 by Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, the property is managed by Viceroy Hotel Group and is introduced as part of the group’s Urban Retreat collection. The Hotel Zetta San Francisco⎯⎯originally built in 1913celebrates the 100th year of the building’s existence with the hotel debut.
