Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. plans to debut the W brand in Israel in 2015 with the opening of W Tel Aviv-Jaffa and the Residences at W Tel Aviv-Jaffa. Set inside a 19th-century heritage building, the hotel will serve as the centerpiece of the city’s redevelopment.
London-based architect John Pawson⎯⎯along with Israeli firm Ramy Gill Architects and Urban Designers⎯⎯will handle the design. The 125 guestrooms and suites will provide panoramic views of the Mediterranean and a dynamic design. Along with a spa, fitness center, and outdoor pool, the W Tel Aviv-Jaffa will offer a signature restaurant, a destination bar, and the W Living Room among its amenities.
This project will also feature W-branded residences all of which will come with a private entrance. Ranging from 753 to 4305 square feet, the 38 residences will be housed alongside the hotel.
“W Hotels is well poised to continue its expansion into some of the most exciting and vibrant destinations around the world,” says Bart Carnahan, senior vice president of acquisitions and development, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. “[It] underlines Starwood’s continued commitment to grow our portfolio of luxury brands globally.”
