W Hotels Worldwide plans to more than double its presence in Asia by the end of 2018. Having recently opened locations in Singapore and Bangkok, W Hotels expects to develop nearly 20 additional hotels and retreats in the region.
More than half of the W brand’s global pipeline is slated for Asia Pacific (11 new will open by 2018), including the first W Hotel in mainland China⎯⎯which opens in Guangzhou later this month⎯⎯followed by openings in the Chinese cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Changsha, and Suzhou over the next five years. Additional W Hotels have been announced for India, Indonesia, and Malaysia, including the 2015 opening of the W Retreat and Spa Goa, India; the 325-room W Mumbai; the 2016 opening of the W Noida in Delhi; and the 300-room W Jakarta in India.
