W Paris-Opera has launched Coquette, a restaurant designed to offer diners a fun spin on French cuisine.
Influenced by Parisian energy and the cosmopolitan dining scene, the restaurant’s interior design juxtaposes classic décor with a bright contemporary feel. Large communal tables and smaller, more intimate seating fill the space. A fresco by French street-artist Honet embellishes the bar, paying homage to Georges Louis Leclerc de Buffon-a French naturalist, biologist, and philosopher.
In the lounge area, Parisian design collective Andrea Crews draws from Matisse’s painting, “The Dance,” in an art piece that evokes celebration and happiness. The piece is drawn by several hands and overlaid with stenciling.
