LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has made its latest advance into the hospitality market with a brand-new café and restaurant in Osaka, Japan.
Officially opening this Saturday on the top of floor of the four-story Louis Vuitton Maison Osaka Midosuji flagship store, the two concepts feature a modern and minimalist aesthetic designed jointly by Japanese architect Jun Aoki and Manhattan-based architect Peter Marino.
Ideal for a post-shopping bite, Le Café V features a sleek cocktail bar and spacious terrace. While the intimate Sugalabo V restaurant—an offshoot of Tokyo’s famed Sugalabo—is located beyond a speakeasy-style portal, and features warm tones, wood accents, as well as custom details by the designers of Louis Vuitton’s furniture and travel collection. Only serving dinner, the restaurant offers seating around the central open kitchen and private dining areas.
According to Louis Vuitton a statement from chairman and CEO Michael Burke, the new venues could be the first in a wider rollout for the French fashion house.
