Ahmedabad, India–based architecture studio Saransh has completed KBM Sweet Shop, an elevated retail concept for a 175-year-old candy manufacturer KBM Sweet Shop in its own hometown.
Designed as a ‘gallery’ for sweets, the shop’s interiors are sleek, neutral, and minimal in order to accentuate the variety of colorful treats on display.
As for the exterior, Saransh took its cues from the texture of Indian candies. Composed of red brick, the playful freeform façade stands out among the area’s otherwise restrained vernacular of gray and white buildings.
