Shanghai-based design firm Kokaistudios has collaborated with upscale shopping mall Réel once again. For its second project, the studio oversaw the update of the nearly 5,400-square-foot women’s department on the mall’s third floor.
The neutral color palette is brought to life with brushed stainless steel accents and refined materials. Pillars—sheathed in dark stone and light-colored, mineral-inspired PVC—are installed throughout the space to create boundaries and promote continuity. Metal mesh paneling and side-lit white plaster walls also punctuate the displays.
Fitting rooms and cash registers now anchor the center of the third floor, flanked by a selection of designer brands on view against stone-inspired PVC surfaces.
