Fashion brand Love by the Moon (LBTM) has opened a retail store in central Kyiv, envisioned by locally based HE.D Group.
The site—once home to two small grocery stores with partitioned interiors and a modest façade—has been transformed into a retail environment that reflects the label’s feminine elegance.
Soft and neutral
Large storefront windows and high ceilings, maximizing transparency and light, served as the foundation of the store’s design.
Cream-toned walls create a soft backdrop, while natural wood accents—found across wall paneling, doors, and custom furnishings—lend warmth and sophistication.
Nearly all fixtures and furniture were crafted by local artisans, ensuring a harmonious material palette throughout the space.
Tailored details at Love by the Moon
Spacious fitting rooms are treated as private sanctuaries, enhanced by soft textiles, bespoke rugs, and strategically placed mirrors.
Hand-painted fabrics and custom textiles further accentuate the boutique’s identity, while vintage furniture and décor—like an antique chair by the window and decorative vases—add a personal, intimate touch.
The warm atmosphere is rounded out by mirrored screens, plush sofas, airy linen curtains, rugs, and a decorative fabric partition that separates the retail and office zones.
Lighting as an artistic statement
Lighting plays a central role in shaping the boutique’s identity as well.
Three central chandeliers, inspired by the fluid forms of jellyfish, serve as sculptural focal points that are visible from the street. Accent lighting, meanwhile, introduces depth and drama.
