AIRE Ancient Baths, known for its atmospheric thermal bath experiences, has revealed a significant expansion of its flagship U.S. location in New York’s Tribeca neighborhood.
First opened in 2012 inside a restored 19th-century textile factory, AIRE New York · Tribeca now spans 16,600 square feet following the addition of 5,600 square feet of new space.
What’s new at AIRE Ancient Baths Tribeca
The expansion, handled by AIRE’s in-house team, reimagines the original footprint with four new baths that broaden the thermal journey. Guests can immerse themselves in a hot plunge (104°F), cold plunge (55°F), a second flotarium (98°F)—a dense saltwater bath that allows effortless floating—and a new tepidarium (97°F), dramatically positioned beneath a skylight that frames views of the sky and surrounding cityscape.
Complementing the thermal experience, AIRE has introduced additional heated marble beds for body wraps, exfoliation, and foam massages, as well as expanded treatment offerings with 11 massage rooms, including options for couples and singles.
Honoring its Tribeca roots
The expansion boasts ceiling heights soaring up to 20 feet, amplifying the sense of grandeur, while softly lit pathways weave between exposed brick walls, preserved timber beams, and the glow of flickering candlelight.
A staggered floor plan leads guests through varying levels and hushed alcoves, heightening the atmosphere of mystery and discovery.
“Tribeca is where our journey in the U.S. began,” says Amadeo Serra, CEO of AIRE Ancient Baths. “This space holds deep meaning for us, and we’re proud to expand and deepen our roots here. Following the recent opening of our Upper East Side location, this next chapter in Tribeca reflects our longterm commitment to offering the city an immersive wellness sanctuary where people can truly disconnect.”
The Tribeca flagship remains a cornerstone of AIRE’s growing global portfolio. In addition to its two Manhattan properties, the brand operates locations in Chicago, London, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Sevilla, Vallromanes, Almería, and Toronto. Plus, a Los Angeles outpost is slated to debut in 2026.
