Alacati Port Ladera Hotel

Set on a lush hillside in the Aegean town on the western coast of Turkey, the Alacati Port Ladera Hotel from designer Selina Kazazoglu of local firm Unlimited Design provides guests with a unique outdoor seaside experience.

Originally established by three siblings of a well-known local family, the hotel’s name translates to “port on the hill,” a concept the new design fully embraces.

Local stones and Alacati’s narrow streets inspired a blend of beach and coastal touches on the exterior, a reference to the industrial aesthetic of the port.

Nods to the woodwork on residential doors and windows seen in the seaside town show up throughout the hotel.

Beach and coastal touches combine in a public sating area with a soft palette and white exposed brick adding the serene feel.

Outdoor seating and dining areas are shaded with wicker to keep guests cool.

Seating areas surrounding the pool are lit with pendant lights, highlighting the windsurf colors and faded palette throughout the hotel.

Colors found in the furniture, artwork, and plants contrast the hotel’s white color scheme, which pays tribute to the windsurf sails seen in the harbor.

The 18 guestrooms reflect a warm, feminine style, some with views of the garden or bay.
