The Mohawk Group has announced that its Durkan manufacturing facility in Dalton, Georgia, has achieved ISO-14001:2004 certification, the environmental management system standard of the International Organization for Standardization. The company’s other three brands-Karastan, Lees, and Bigelow-have already attained certification.
Durkan received ISO-14001:2004 certification specifically for its exceptional management of environmental risks associated with painting, coating, tufting and waste water treatment, and boiler air emissions using stain resistant nylon, polypropylene, and latex coating for commercial carpet and home rug manufacturing.
