Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has plans for a second Element hotel in the Miami metropolitan area.
The new Element is expected to open in July 2015 as part of a dual-hotel development, joining Aloft Miami Doral, which opened in March 2013. Owned by Eurocon, LLC, Element Miami Doral will offer a smart new lodging option for travelers with 139 sustainable rooms and an atmosphere designed to fuel a life in balance and on the move.
Element Miami Doral will feature light-filled studios and one-bedroom suites with a fluid design of modular furniture, fully equipped kitchens, and spa-inspired bathrooms with a rain shower and dual-flush toilet. Other brand signatures will include a fitness center, an outdoor saline swimming pool, and a 1,500-square-foot meeting room.
“The Element brand is cropping up in markets across North America, fueled by the enthusiasm of travelers and developers who share the brand’s passion for clean, sustainable living,” says Allison Reid, senior vice president of North America development for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. “With everything guests need for a life in balance, Element Miami Doral will provide an entirely fresh perspective on the extended stay experience.”
Element is the first major hotel brand to mandate that all of its properties pursue the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for high-performance buildings. The brand is recognized as an industry leader in the eco-space, offering a reimagined interpretation of the extended stay hotel.
