Chateau Sonoma, a luxury green boutique hotel, is in the works for Sonoma, California, according to sonomanews.com. Architect Michael B. Ross of RossDrulisCusenbery Architecture Inc. and local artist Keith Wicks will join forces for the $30 million project, which will integrate a rainwater capture system, vegetated roofs, energy-efficient building techniques, lots of natural light, and a pedestrian-friendly design to reduce traffic impact. The hotel’s developer’s are targeting LEED Silver certification.
Featuring French and Sonoma country styles, the 50-key hotel will have a pool, meeting space, and a restaurant.
