In September, Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort will install six wind turbines on its rooftop in order to rely less on resources such as gas and oil. Each 40-foot-tall unit will produce 32,000 KWH. The turbines are the latest in the hotel’s sustainable initiatives. For instance, the property’s exterior glass has been manufactured not only for hurricane but also controls the heating from sunlight entering into the interior of the building.
