LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort in Naples, Florida, has received distinction from the state’s Green Lodging program. To meet the program’s requirements, properties need to show efforts to conserve energy and water, along with reducing waste and reusing linens. Designated properties must also use green cleaners and high-efficiency air filters.
“In addition to showing our commitment to safeguarding the environment we live and work in, this distinction will continue to guide our efforts implementing green initiatives on property and in our everyday lives,” says the resort’s general manager, Ron Vuy.
Over the next year, LaPlaya will look for additional ways to better conserve water, reduce energy usage, and increase recycling while subsequently reducing waste volume to the landfill.
