Sofitel, the French luxury hotel brand within the Accor group, has adopted the Green Key Eco-Rating Program for its official green lodging certification standards in the U.S. Sofitel’s portfolio of eight properties will institute the program by the end of April. The move follows Accor North America’s (ANA) launch of a Greek Key pilot earlier this year with 20 Motel 6 and Studio 6 properties.
The Green Key evaluation entails a 150-question self-administered audit and random on-site verification of audit results.
