Valley Forge Fabrics has received the 2012 Marriott International Supplier Sustainability Leadership Award, recognizing the company’s impact on guests, properties, and the hotelier’s environmental goals. Valley Forge has provided Marriott upholsteries and draperies made with 100 percent post-consumer recycled polyester and from plastic bottles, as well as linens made from eucalyptus fiber.
“Valley Forge has proven themselves time and time again with the largest collection of environmentally friendly products and continues to raise the bar in hospitality,” says Bradley Colton, Marriott’s operation leader.
Adds Diana Dobin, president of Valley Forge: “We define sustainability as the way we interact with people within our organization and the community, the impact we have on the environment and the impact that our efforts have on our bottom line. We believe that by taking care of our people and the planet, we will be able to take care of our company. Being recognized by Marriott as a leader in sustainability is extremely meaningful to us.”
