Wilson Associates received the inaugural Sustainable Design Initiative of the Year Award at the 2010 Commercial Interior Design Awards in Dubai for the Hope Bracelet, an accessory introduced by Trisha Wilson, founder of Wilson Associates and the Wilson Foundation. The luxe black onyx piece, exclusively designed by Sue Gragg Precious Jewels of Dallas, was created to help support the Wilson Foundation’s education and healthcare initiatives for disadvantaged children in South Africa.
Remarks from the judging panel included “a beautifully simple way to help disadvantaged children” and “something tangible and real that directly impacts lives.” They went on to state “collaborations between private corporations and public entities can result in successful high-impact sustainable practices.”
