Seaside Muse
I drew inspiration from Montauk, New York’s wild and salt-weathered coastline, and the casual elegance of Europe’s seaside towns that exude rich color and pattern. I’m an avid surfer and have a strong connection to the area, having designed other projects like the Surf Lodge and Ruschmeyers, and drew on that when designing this space.

The den is my favorite of all the rooms, with its dramatic rust-colored Domingue finish walls. There is an inviting Moroccan daybed lined with graphic pillows where we love to hang out. The rest of the house has a very clean palette, so this room is a bit of a departure.
