Favorite memory growing up at Il Pellicano?
My brothers and I tried to save the lobsters from the aquarium and threw them in the pool just before the beginning of a dinner party. We were extremely proud, but our parents were not so happy.

Classic with a twist, and a love for quality.
Your properties are found in paradise, but what is your personal paradise?
I love simple, quiet places where I can reconnect with myself.

If I’m honest, I’d love to design a gentlemen’s club.
What does luxury mean to you?
For me, it’s about enriching your soul.

Headphones and a scarf.
When do you know a location is the right fit for one of your hotels?
When it feels right at first sight. This is what happened with my first visit at Mezzatorre, the latest addition to our hotel group on [Italian island] Ischia.
