The Pink Parlor
We have now seen pink take over walls, floors, paints, and paper to immerse people in a rosy environment. The sense of wellbeing and happiness this color communicates must be the reason of its ongoing success.
The Green House
Instead of scattering individual plants all over the place, the newest idea is to concentrate them in one room. Used as upholstery, curtains, and awnings, the green leaf motif will mobilize the interior gardener.
The Terra Terrace
The newest direction for outdoor living is to look at natural materials for guidance in the design process; processing raw earth into dried matter, compacted clay, terracotta, and oven-baked ceramics and bricks.
The Outsider Atelier
The DIY movement instructs new ranges of happier, brighter, and clashing colors in artifacts, tabletop, and textiles. A notion of folklore gives these designs local color and resonance. Harmonies are exuberant and exclusive, motifs are wild and imaginary, and finishes are rough and textured. The mood is uplifting and happy.
The Yellow Bar
Since most alcohols have a yellow hue, the bar could become a warm place of welcome—where ochre velvet and amber linens embrace warm woods and brass, and an array of yellow barstools could function like the rays of the sun, radiating a friendly human energy.
