Las Vegas Leans Into Immersive, High-Design Venues

Despite challenges, Sin City’s seductive, high-energy landscape proves resilient

Words by: Alia Akkam

Las Vegas perpetually glitters, yet this alluring, high-octane landscape is constantly shifting. Consider the recent debut of F1 Arcade Las Vegas inside the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. Melding racing simulators and cocktails, the two-story, 21,000-square-foot flagship by Anamo Design Studio transforms the notion of experiential bars.

Sin City’s design-fueled hotel, restaurant, bar, and entertainment scene is as animated as ever, but last year was an especially challenging one around the world. According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Las Vegas welcomed 38.5 million visitors in 2025, a 7.5 percent decrease from 2024. Convention activity, however, remained steady, hosting six million attendees. Likewise, the $600 million refurbishment of the Las Vegas Convention Center, completed just in time for the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show, is bound to keep business booming.

Despite the decline in numbers, Las Vegas made headlines with such high-profile events as the record-setting WrestleMania 41, the 40th anniversary of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, and the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix. Travelers were also entranced by multi-sensorial experiences like “The Wizard of Oz” at Sphere (extended through August) and Interstellar Arc at AREA15.

These attractions were bolstered by see-and-be-seen establishments including Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce burlesque nightclub, revived at Mandalay Bay on New Year’s Eve, and the unveiling of North End-designed Gymkhana, the two Michelin-starred London favorite, at ARIA.

Looking ahead, two New York hotspots from Bond Hospitality are headed to Wynn Las Vegas this year. Sartiano’s Italian Steakhouse, helmed by chef Alfred Portale, is set in an alcove overlooking Wynn Golf Club adjacent from the second location of private members club Zero Bond. Both venues are spearheaded by Wynn Design & Development in collaboration with Tihany Design and recall 1950s Las Vegas and 20th-century Milan.

On the hotel front, 2024 and 2025 were dominated by talk of the Venetian’s ongoing $1.5 billion revitalization, but interest is ramping up for the Vanderpump Hotel, scheduled to open later this year. Entrepreneur and TV personality Lisa Vanderpump, who previously collaborated with Caesars Entertainment on Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace, Vanderpump à Paris at Paris Las Vegas, WOLF by Vanderpump at Harveys Lake Tahoe, and Pinky’s by Vanderpump at Flamingo Las Vegas, is now partnering with the casino-entertainment behemoth to turn the Cromwell into a 188-room boutique hotel that bears the imprint of Vanderpump’s glamorous aesthetic.

Here, we take a closer look at the latest hotels and restaurants adding new energy to the city’s ever-evolving hospitality landscape.

Tamba

Located just south of the Strip, Town Square is an open-air shopping, dining, and entertainment hub home to contemporary Indian restaurant Tamba. Owner Sunny Dhillon conceived the design himself, mixing concrete and Japanese desert oak with hand-fluted glass, brushed brass, and matte terrazzo. The dining room, distinguished by a 3D-printed flower wall and burnt orange velvet booths, is separated from the lounge by a library of hand-picked books penned by Indian authors. Music, meanwhile, takes centerstage in a vinyl bar dubbed the Sound Lab.

COTE Vegas

Rockwell Group and Simon Kim, the visionary behind Gracious Hospitality Management, teamed up once again—their first collaboration came in 2024 with high-end fried chicken restaurant COQODAQ in New York—for COTE Vegas. This 17,000-square-foot outpost of the buzzy Korean steakhouse, found at the Venetian, sets the tone with a black and gold entry portal. It dramatically leads to a five-petal ceiling installation, elevated DJ booth, and tiered dining room adorned with mirrored double-sided banquettes and fluted amber glass table lamps.

Carbone Riviera

Major Food Group founders Mario Carbone, Jeff Zalaznick, and Rich Torrisi have joined forces with MGM Resorts International to expand the New York-born Carbone brand at Bellagio. Crafted by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio to evoke the golden age of Lake Como and Capri, Carbone Riviera—situated in the old Picasso space—marries terracotta leather mirrored banquettes with custom Murano glass lighting and mosaic-wrapped archways that heighten views of Bellagio’s famed swaying fountains.

Cantina Contramar

In late March, chef Gabriela Cámara of longstanding Mexico City restaurant Contramar, will debut Cantina Contramar at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. An ode to Mexican heritage, the space, designed by Frida Escobedo Studio, takes cues from warm, lively Mexican cantinas and features an open kitchen and comal station. For the bar, Cámara worked with Casa Dragones CEO and cofounder Bertha González Nieves to pair seafood dishes with cocktails and sipping tequilas.

Four Seasons Private Residences Las Vegas

Slated for occupancy in mid-2027, the Four Seasons Private Residences Las Vegas benefit from a scenic setting in the MacDonald Highlands. Those mountain and Strip vistas are savored in the 171 homes from WATG and Wimberly Interiors—including the Sky Villa, complete with private plunge pool and multiple terraces—decked out with RH Contract furnishings tailored to accommodate all floorplans and palettes, capacious kitchens, and spa-like bathrooms. Also underway: a restaurant hatched in partnership with Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group.

Signature Suites at the Venetian

Designed exclusively for high rollers, the invite-only collection of Signature suites at the Venetian are the handiwork of Meyer Davis and Richmond International. The three Presidential and 18 Penthouse suites, as well as the five commodious Chairman suites encompassing 8,000 square feet, pay homage to the timelessness of Venice through refined materials like polished plaster and onyx stone. Bas relief wall panels, Murano glass pendants and chandeliers, and oil-rubbed bronze detailing further elevate the retreats.

Peacock Alley + Hard Shake

Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas has reimagined its 23rd-floor lobby—a key element of the hotel’s multimillion-dollar revamp—into a desert-inspired food and drink destination courtesy of Rockwell Group. Peacock Alley (shown), a brand signature, showcases a glass canopy-topped feather-shaped bar and is done up in floor-to-ceiling windows and soft hues of blue and gray. Japanese-style bar Hard Shake, by contrast, is moodier, revolving around loungey indigo banquettes and a marbled dark stone bar embellished with golden brass.

Veranda

Avenue Interior Design pulled from California’s natural beauty for its overhaul of Veranda. The modern American restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas now greets guests with a colorful botanical mural buoyed by greenery and terracotta. It paves the way to a homey interior richly layered with velvet, leather, marble, brass, and hand-cut Zellige tile. Grounding the space is an imposing olive tree that rises above the constellation of banquettes and tables.

The Westin Las Vegas Hotel + Spa

Nature propelled the partial renovation of the Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa. Tasked with the ballrooms, meeting spaces, public restrooms, and spa at the 826-room property, Harken Interiors (in partnership with Highgate/Lucid, Rider Levett Bucknall, and Aria Group) embraced muted earth tones of terracotta, tan, and ink. A complementary art package weaves in pieces like Chicago-based Jean Cate’s depiction of the sky painted onto raw birch, New Jersey textile artist Jessie Bloom’s three-panel tapestry, and Mexican design brand NONO’s custom wood sculptures.
