Architecture and design firms: Lubrano Ciavarra Architects, Brooklyn, New York; Ronen Lev, New York; and Two Blu Ducks, New Rochelle, New York
The details: Owner Ashley Wu conceived of members’ club Maison in Manhattan’s Upper East Side as a chic and sophisticated space for working moms. She tasked a trio with executing her vision: Lubrano Ciavarra Architects and interior design firms Two Blu Ducks and Ronen Lev. The feminine interiors “offer a more relaxed take on coworking, with an intentionally light space that feels more like a shared living room than an office,” says Jessica Kamal, founder of Ronen Lev. Natural light filters in through sheer curtains, while emerald velvet-upholstered seating and pastels produce refined moments across the club’s 3,400 square feet. “We wanted Maison to feel like a sanctuary that offers an inspiring distraction from city and home life,” Kamal adds. “With [that in mind], we kept things simple, functional, and beautiful.”
