The owners also wanted to introduce the villa-resort concept to the island. “Our designs were required to combine the intimacy and exclusivity of a private hideaway with the offerings and amenities of a first-class resort,” says Dzurita.

Although each villa offers up to five bedrooms, a number of different configurations are available. Each bedroom is unique and has its own separate structure but also opens to the villa’s shared common area.

Large picture windows and sliding glass doors open up the villas and allow guests to move seamlessly in and out. Several terraces, outdoor rain showers, and outdoor dining areas also bring the outside in.

“As is the case with any Caribbean project, getting the materials to the resort was the biggest hurdle,” says Dzurita. Finishes, fabrics, and furnishings also had to withstand the tropical elements.

“The opportunity to work on the beautiful island of Anguilla and of course, the finished product, were my favorite parts of this project,” says Dzurita. “The end result delivers that ‘wow’ factor we were seeking.”
