With architecture by Nikos Mourelos and design from Alina Tsolakakis, Olive Green occupies the site of the former Esperia Hotel, originally constructed in the 1960s by architect Spyros Kokotos.

Olive tree saplings punctuate the minimalist yet bright lobby, which is outfitted in beech wood, metal, and stone. Circular windows look into the small, traditional roads of the old city center.

Wood and earthy colors accent the 48 guestrooms, which feature large, vivid photographs of Crete above the beds that are enhanced by QR codes, allowing guests to scan the post and find out more about the destination.

Five different color schemes are based on the central murals inspired by famous Cretan places.

Included among the Cretan scenery are the beaches of Matala, Mount Ida, and the traditional villages of Elounda, Kapetaniana, and Spinalonga.

All four guestroom configurations, ranging from Popular, Urban, Club, and Family, also feature a walk-in rainfall shower.
