The details: A discreet street entrance leads to a staircase where guests descend to otherworldly asylum Relax Underground. “The approach was to create a world of its own—mysterious, slightly bizarre, yet still elegant with an intimate mood,” says local architect Lenka Míková of Prague’s new by-the-hour hotel and spa. The David Lynch-inspired interiors are dark and futuristic, and feature “rough masonry contrasted by a minimalistic treatment of all the surfaces,” she adds. The three main guestrooms express different moods using three defined color palettes: the blue Royal room, the green Relax room, and the red Hot room. There are also two compact, wood-clad cabin-like rooms. Furnishings were kept to a minimum, while austere lighting creates a “parallel underground world where visitors [can] forget about life outside,” says Míková
